HTTP/2 Push

Allows the server to send CSS and JavaScript files to the site visitor's browser before they request them - saving valuable time to load the page

Load JavaScript Deferred

Eliminates render-blocking resources (JavaScript) on your website and not only can improve load time, it can also improve your PageSpeed scores and SEO.

Delay JavaScript execution

Improves performance by delaying the loading of JavaScript files until user interaction (e.g. scroll, click).

Google Fonts Optimization

Detects when Google Fonts are used on your website and accelerates the loading of the text

Lazy Load images, embeded videos & iframes

Lazy Loading prevents loading of content such as images, videos and iframes until the user scrolls to the area of the page where those elements should be displayed - dramatically decreasing the first load of the page.

What is the difference between LS Cache and AccelerateWP?

Both LS Cache and AccelerateWP provide critical performance functions such as page caching, CDN integration, and object caching, but:
a. LS Cache is designed for optimal use only with LiteSpeed web server, and many features (including object caching) will not work on other web servers. In contrast, AccelerateWP is fully supported on Apache, NGINX and LiteSpeed.
b. AccelerateWP also includes automated analysis of issues that cause performance degradation, as well as advice generation with one-click solutions to address those issues.
c. Another major difference is that AccelerateWP empowers hosting providers to build an automated, data-driven upsell flow for premium performance features.

What is the difference between AccelerateWP and WP Rocket?

WP Rocket is a standalone, performance enhancing plugin that can be purchased and installed by any WordPress admin (without involvement from a hosting provider). AccelerateWP is suite of utilities that starts with website analysis of performance issues and opportunities.
AccelerateWP recommends multiple website specific solutions based on the data it collects. Many of those powerful solutions are completely free on servers with a compatible CloudLinux OS license – and the advice is always 100% free for hosters and end users.

Which CloudLinuxOS licenses include AccelerateWP?

The AccelerateWP feature is available in CloudLinux OS Solo, Admin, and Shared Pro licenses. The only license type that does not include the AccelerateWP feature is CloudLinux OS Shared.
note: AccelerateWP Premium features are currently only supported on CloudLinuxOS Shared Pro (Solo & Admin coming soon)

How can I upgrade my license to include AccelerateWP?

1. If you purchased a CloudLinux OS Shared license directly from CloudLinux, you can upgrade to a Shared Pro license through your CloudLinux Network account. Just follow this quick guide here.
2. If you obtained your CloudLinux OS Shared license from a reseller, you’ll need to confirm that they offer one of the AccelerateWP supported licenses mentioned above. If they do, you’ll need to cancel your current license and then purchase a new one through that reseller. If they do not, you can purchase a license from CloudLinux Network. Please log in or create an account here.
3. If you acquired a CloudLinux OS Shared license from Plesk, you must cancel your CL OS Shared license in your Plesk account. Afterward, you can purchase any of the Solo, Admin, or Pro licenses from the Plesk extensions marketplace.
4. If you don’t currently have any CloudLinux OS licenses, you can easily purchase one through our website here.

How do I activate AccelerateWP on a server?

Option 1 – Using the CloudLinux Manager UI:
1. Access the CloudLinux Manager User Interface
2. Navigate to the AccelerateWP tab
3. Click on the “”Activate”” button
4. Review Getting Started video or documentation.
Option 2 – Using the Command Line Interface (CLI):
1. Ensure you have root access to your server
2. Execute the necessary commands as specified in the Quick Start guide

How does AccelerateWP work for end-users?

Once AccelerateWP (Free standalone or Free + Premium) is activated on the server and (when Premium is activated) integrated with WHMCS for automated upselling, website owners can experience a seamless and effortless improvement in their WordPress website’s speed and performance.
From the website owner’s perspective, both the hosting control panel (cPanel or Plesk) and the WordPress administration UI provide a user-friendly experience. Here’s how it works:

In the Hosting Control Panel:

  • After the server administrator has enabled AccelerateWP for all users on a server, website owners will find the AccelerateWP icon in their control panel tools menu.
  • Clicking on the icon displays a list of their WordPress websites and any generated advice based on their website’s profile.
  • The advice may suggest various optimizations to enhance website performance.
  • When advice is available, website owners can click “Apply Advice,” and with a single click, the recommended changes are implemented in the background.

In the WordPress Admin Panel:

  • Website owners will find the new “Smart Advice” section in their WordPress dashboard.
  • By clicking the “Smart Advice” button, they can access advice and features related to AccelerateWP.
  • Turning on the AccelerateWP core feature requires a single click on the “Apply advice” button to trigger the installation and immediate performance improvement.
  • For premium features, such as Object Caching, Image optimization, Critical Path CSS, a similar process occurs, with an upgrade prompt leading to the purchase of the premium subscription on the hosting provider’s upgrade page (in WHMCS or other page).

Rollback and Support:

  • Website owners have the flexibility to roll back features if needed, either from the hosting control panel or WordPress admin panel.
  • Learn more with End-user  documentation  about AccelerateWP.

How do I enable automatic upsell and billing integration via WHMCS?

Premium features are accessible to website owners through a subscription or as part of designated hosting plans managed by hosting providers. Once AccelerateWP Premium is enabled by the server admin for users, those users can manually activate/install premium features and those whose websites are definitively determined to benefit from premium features will receive advice. If the user is not already entitled to use AccelerateWP premium features (e.g. they are not on a supporting hosting plan) they will be prompted to upgrade either when manually installing a premium feature or when attempting to accept advice. This upgrade prompt directs the user to the hosting provider’s upgrade page within WHMCS.

For a detailed guide on WHMCS integration for AccelerateWP Premium, click here.

How do I enable upselling and billing integration via API or 3rd party billing platform?

AccelerateWP Premium allows hosting providers to seamlessly integrate any billing platform, enabling the upsell process to the customers. When plans/add-ons include the appropriate AccelerateWP premium entitlement, provisioning and de-provisioning is seamless.

For a detailed guide on 3rd party billing platform integration for AccelerateWP Premium click here.

How do I enable Redis Object Cache on a server?

The Redis Object Cache feature is included in the AccelerateWP Premium offering. To enable Redis Object Cache for all users, first ensure that you are on a supporting CloudLinux License (currently only OS Shared Pro) then make sure you have activated AccelerateWP Premium features.

In order for a user to install/activate Redis Object Cache, the user will need the entitlement associated with their account. When premium features are enabled on the server, there are several options to choose from to provide this entitlement to your users:

    • Offer it for free to all users (and pay only for the users that activate it and use it)
      • cloudlinux-awp-admin set-suite --suites=accelerate_wp_premium --allowed-for-all
    • Include it with specific hosting packages, such as your top tier WordPress hosting (and pay only for users that activate and use it)
    • Offer it as a paid upgrade by integrating with your billing platform and allowing your users to purchase the add-on subscription (or upgrade to a premium hosting package) – in this model, users will see the premium feature and can still receive advice notifications, but they will be prompted to upgrade when they attempt to activate the feature or accept the advice.
      • cloudlinux-awp-admin set-suite --suites=accelerate_wp_premium --visible-for-all

How do I enable AccelerateWP CDN for my users?

To enable CDN (including 1GB for free for all users), first ensure that you are on a supporting CloudLinux License (currently only OS Shared Pro) then make sure you have activated AccelerateWP CDN.

In order for a user to have the option to exceed 1GB of CDN bandwidth per month, the user will need a CDN plan entitlement associated with their account. When CDN is enabled on the server, there are several options to choose from to provide CDN plan entitlements to your users:

    • Offer 50GB for free to all users (and pay only for the users that activate it and use it)
      • cloudlinux-awp-admin set-suite –allowed-for-all –suites accelerate_wp_cdn_pro –attrs='{“traffic_limit”: “50 GB”}’
      • Option 1: cloudlinux-awp-admin set-suite --suites accelerate_wp_cdn --allowed-for-all && cloudlinux-awp-admin set-suite --suites accelerate_wp_cdn_pro --visible-for-all
      • Option 2: Enable CDN via CloudLinux Manager (see instructions below).

How can I enable AccelerateWP for my hosting resellers?

Currently hosting resellers are not supported, but the CloudLinux product team is aware that this is a highly demanded functionality and we are working hard to solve this problem and deliver this to our customers. more information here

How can I disable Premium features and keep just Free features running?

You can simply deactivate a Premium part and keep using all the Free features in two ways:

1. deactivate AccelerateWP Premium via CloudLinux Manager UI

2. or you can deactivate AccelerateWP Premium it via Command Line Interface by running:

cloudlinux-awp-admin --api-version 1 set-suite --suites=accelerate_wp_premium --disallowed --users=<username> cloudlinux-awp-admin --api-version 1 set-suite --suites=accelerate_wp_premium --disallowed-for-all

Do you have a comparison between AccelerateWP and LiteSpeed/LS Cache?

We are currently benchmark testing against LiteSpeed/LSCache with our newly added features – once these tests are concluded, we will publish the results. We are constantly improving AccelerateWP to enable the best performance tools for your users.

Our clients run LiteSpeed Object cache; why do they need AccelerateWP?

With LiteSpeed, all the expenses lie on the hosting provider’s shoulders, as they need to spread the costs across all users, regardless of whether they actually use and/or need Object Caching or not.

On the other hand, AccelerateWP offers a completely different approach that benefits both hosting providers and end-users. The hosting provider itself delivers real value to their clients through AccelerateWP in the hosting plan by automatically upselling the per-user Object Caching feature, ensuring it is installed only when it is truly beneficial for the website’s performance. This targeted approach means that only about 8% of users (who genuinely need Object Caching) are advised to buy it. And those who choose to consume those resources are charged for that consumption, which significantly reduces the expenses for the hosting provider and aligns more appropriately to the business model.

By implementing AccelerateWP, hosting providers can not only reduce their server software expenses but also generate additional revenue by offering valuable features to their clients. This approach creates a win-win situation where clients receive enhanced performance benefits, and hosting providers increase their revenue without incurring unnecessary costs for features that are not utilized by all users.

Will our clients pay CloudLinux directly?

CloudLinux will not charge your customers directly. The AccelerateWP platform was specifically created to empower CloudLinux clients within the competitive WordPress hosting space, empowering them to generate additional revenue without any financial investment or complex development.

When it comes to premium features (CCSS, Image Optimization and Redis) and CDN services, hosting providers are responsible for charging their customers for usage. We recommend charging specifically for this usage or adding these features to your top tier WordPress packages to incentivize package upgrades.

We have developed tools that enable you to seamlessly implement automated upselling with your billing platform. If you are using WHMCS, the process is made even simpler with our dedicated plugin, which efficiently handles these transactions.

note: For premium features, there is a 30-day grace period before the user is considered billable (leaving room for hosting providers to offer a free trial).

Which AccelerateWP features are free, and which are paid?

What is the cost for Premium features?

You can find the pricing in your CLN account ⟶ Billing ⟶ Purchase

or by visiting this link (make sure you logged in first): https://cln.cloudlinux.com/console/billing/purchase

note: To ensure the protection of your retail price flexibility, we do not publish this pricing.

What is the pricing for CDN?

CDN is free for all hosting users up to 1GB per user per month. Beyond that, premium CDN subscription plans are available for consumption. You can find the pricing for premium CDN plans in your CLN account by visiting this link: https://cln.cloudlinux.com/console/auth/login.

note: To ensure the protection of your retail price flexibility, we do not publish this pricing

Why is the pricing model per user, not per server?

Please note that only hosting users that enable/install premium features, either manually or by following SmartAdvice will incur charges!

AccelerateWP premium pricing doesn’t require hosting providers to pay upfront costs. Only users who activate and install a premium feature will become billable. Hosting providers are charged the partner price after the user decides to continue with the solution and completes the 30-day trial period.

For example, only 8% of participating websites were advised to use Object Cache, while the rest could benefit from the free site optimization module. This module includes various features like SmartAdvice, Static Full-Page Cache, Browser Cache Support, Cache Logged-in Users, and LazyLoading images & iframes.

Our decision to provide Premium features was driven by our desire to enable all possible site improvements for our customers. Our strategy is not to make money from Premium edition, but rather to assist hosting providers in generating revenue through the use of our Free AccelerateWP features.

Can I estimate the AccelerateWP premium cost per server?

Yes! By enabling AccelerateWP for your clients, you can earn a 60% margin. In the AccelerateWP tab, you’ll find:

    • The number of users who can benefit from Premium features, along with their names in the Advice list.
    • Your potential earnings by multiplying the number of users with the suggested retail pricing.
    • Your partner payment estimate to CloudLinux by multiplying the number of users with activated Premium features with the partner pricing.

note: this estimate calculation would not include CDN usage

What is the cost for paid CDN usage?

To ensure the protection of your retail price flexibility, we do not publish our pricing structure publicly. Please log in to your account to view pricing for CDN plans.

The cost is calculated per user per month and users can be subscribed/entitled to various CDN plans (e.g. 50GB, 100GB, 250GB, etc,).

A user can be granted the CDN entitlement (e.g. through their hosting package or a CDN subscription) and they will only become billable when the following occurs:

    • CDN advice has been generated
    • User enables the CDN

Important note: when a user has a specific CDN plan (e.g. 100GB, they will be billable at that rate regardless of their actual consumption. It is the hosting provider’s responsibility to charge according to the plan they are offering (not usage).

note: there is no 30 day grace period for CDN as the 1GB of free usage is considered the evaluation period.

Is there a trial period for AccelerateWP Premium?

Yes, there is a 30-day trial period for AccelertaeWP Premium features usage. We do not charge for users that have existed in the “enabled” state for 30 days or less. This means the user becomes billable on the 31st day.

As an example, if you start using AccelerateWP Premium and have users with enabled status on July 1st, you will not be billed for those users on your August 1st invoice. However, your billing for the users with enabled status will show in your September 1st invoice, for the usage during August.

How does billing work for AccelerateWP Premium?

AccelerateWP Premium is billed in a post-consumption model and per user per month: based on users who have one or more features in “enabled” state. Example: you are billed on July 1st, 2023 for the usage of June 2023, usage meaning in this case the number of users that have premium features enabled.

You can see the 3 users for AccelerateWP Premium shown below are in enabled state and therefore they are billable.

All users with 1 or more billable days in that month count toward premium consumption for that month. This is not prorated. Customers will be billed for the full monthly amount for each user that was billable for even 1 day during that month

The customers will be billed for all AccelerateWP Premium enabled users regardless of the number of days these features were enabled: the invoice will include the charges for each user that had premium features enabled (billable state), even if it was for 1 day. This is not prorated.

How to check how many enabled users for AccelerateWP Premium exist?

You can check the current state of AccelerateWP Premium users in two ways:

  1. in CloudLinux Manager UI ⟶ AccelerateWP tab ⟶ Active users ⟶ AccelerateAWP Premium
  2. Or by running the following command in Command Line Interface: cloudlinux-awp-admin get-stat
