Four-year-olds say the darndest things (but so true).

At naptime yesterday I was reading a Junie B. Jones book to Dot in which kindergartner Junie B. had decided to dress (spoiler alert!) as a janitor for Job Day at school.

I asked Dot what she might like to be when she grew up.

She said she didn’t know and we went through the moderate list inclusive of: teacher, daycare provider, dentist, doctor, nurse (one who delivers babies and another that gives them shots), “where grandpa works”, and a computer guy (like Daddy).

I know! I would like to be a Mommy when I grow up.

Cue heartmelt, right? And then I ask (and I think about the Halloween Dot went as a Mommy) what she would wear to be a Mommy?
