It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood…

This morning I watched Mr. Roger’s for the first time in, like, a decade? Longer? Wow, so many memories. Anyway, it really is a BEAUTIFUL day. Besides walking to fetch the mail in the morning I’ve been out two other times. Once for about an hour with Ali, touring the parks and stuff. And once with the whole family. There is a set of swings at this motel about a block from us that we’ve been going to swing at every so often. It’s the prettiest view (see above photo), especially at sunset, and Ali is getting to the age where she likes swinging. Even better standing with one parent while the other one swings toward her.

There’s not much grass to be found here, but there is a patch behind the motel (it’s closed for renovationthis week, so we didn’t feel bad going up close to the rooms). We let Ali get down and crawl around in the grass, her first time touching it. Today is one of those days where I feel very, very lucky to live where we live.

  1. So beautiful! It was beautiful here, as well, but our view consists of 82nd Ave so can’t really be appreciated as much. That picture of Ali kills me because she is SUCH a ham.
